if you'll read my original post, it says right there in it that it's the triton. I didn't realize I needed to list everything it wasn't. I'll do better next time. I'm new to Ford's.
The name "Triton" is simply the marketing name for the line of modular gasoline engines use in the trucks starting in 1997. That term, in no way, identifies anything about the vehicle except it's not a diesel. The 1999 model year is a confusing one as there were two completely different models named the "F250". You WILL need to be specific in the future in order to avoid this same confusion with others. same goes for when you go to a parts store or order parts online. If you don't have it correctly identified, you'll often end up with the wrong thing.
