Machado man that,s awesome. i would have told the cops , you towed it from my house you are gonna tow it back for free. i hope that you get it up and driving real soon.
Oh, it runs. Just not safely 🤣 I drove it out the yard and it did surprisingly well...almost like he was happy to get out of there haha! To make it a daily driver again, all i gotta do is fix a vacuum leak (assuming thats the issue) Replace or repair front axel would help it a lot too
Glad it's back with no cost (well, other than the large hassle factor!) and on your property now.
I've had the same issue in my neighborhood lately. Not the neighbors complaining though (they don't care and I've lived here longer than ALL of them!) but the neighborhood watch driver (lives about 5 blocks away) thinks it's his sworn duty to report any vehicle, anywhere.
Just wondering though, if your truck was currently registered? From what I remember, at least as far as most tow companies are concerned, if the vehicle has expired tags they don't even have to notify you. Seems fishy to me, because even CA is generally thoughtful in this regard and likes it's registration fees, but I was told that if it's not current it can be towed without notice.
Might be part of it? Or is yours registered?

Registered through December. To be honest, Ive been hassled by law enforcement in this town my whole life. Back in the day I worked grave shift at mcds. Too broke to buy a car, so rode a bike. Got pulled over cause my blinking bike lights wherent good enough. So i bought a bike headlight. Pulled over again, cause it still wasnt bright enough. Bought a freaking flashlight and taped that sucker to the handle bars. Pulled over again, I need a better red light in the back as well. Done. Got pulled over still...cause "why are you out at night?" and "Whats in the backpack?" Guys....yall have pulled me over a dozen times each already and i tell yall the same thing every time. I work night shift. Im awake at night. I work a part time job. I can't afford a vehicle. I use a backpack to carry my groceries.
Eventually got a truck (09 ranger), and a whole new set of problems. Got tailgated by an officer with his brights on coming home one night. I sped up to put some distance between us and got pulled over. "Youre speeding" yup and youre tailgating me with brights on. "Trying to read your plates, youre hitch is blocking the way and thats a trick used by car thieves" Does my truck match the description of a stolen vehicle? No? Then why are you reading my plates? "You need to remove your hitch" ...dude. Its a part of the truck. You gonna pull me over for towing a trailer as well? How bout this camper shell, its totally blocking my rearview mirror man. Wanna pull me over for that too? Laid into him and he eventually let me go.
Got pulled over again in the truck cause "speeding in a school zone" School was out, i was doing 39 in a 45, was in the furthest lane, and was being passed on the inside by an industrial vehicle. Nope, he pulled me over cause i was hauling trash to the dump (secured properly) and he wanted to snoop around in it.
I have so many more stories, but i think ive proved my point about the law enforcement in my town by now lol
Glad you have it back. Can't stand meddling neighborhood commies. Especially when you have been there 40 years and Mr. Right has only been in neighborhood a few, nothing changed here and you bought the damn place. Excuse me, when did we get married? Sorry my rant. Glad you have it back!
