Some of "Ford Speak" Explained

Hi Everyone
We have anxiously been following the construction of our new F350. At first none of these terms, although freely tossed about, were defined. Here are the meanings as Ford defines them: In Order Processing - The order has been entered into the Ford Ordering System. It will then be scheduled and placed in the first available production week. •
In Production - When an order is "In Production," it is being manufactured at one of our factories. •
Awaiting Shipment - The vehicle has been built and we are arranging shipment to the selling dealer. •
In Transit - The vehicle has been built and is being transported from the plant to the dealership. •
Delivered - The vehicle has arrived at the dealership and should be ready for pick up in a few days. The selling dealership will be able to provide the specific date and time for delivery.
"The Customer Relationship Center (CRC) does not have access to the build date or the ETA of when the unit will be shipped. There has been much confusion over IN BUILD and IN PRODUCTION. As far as I can tell they are both the same and used interchangeably by Ford.
Does anyone know how long it takes to "build" a truck?
Regards
Bill
