Anyone have an idea of the last date you can order a 2017 Transit? My Sprinter needs replaced and I think I'm convinced to order a Transit but want to do it before they have to change things for the 2018 tightening of emissions.
Transit '17 orders are open already, Job 1 is August 1st. Honestly not sure that the Ford motors aren't already ahead of the emissions, I remember Ford talking about the 6.7 already being next gen ready.
I saw that...I just know how much a sales guy does NOT know sometimes, especially when it comes to commercial vehicles. Sorry for the generalization, I've just dealt with it before.
You will likely get better service if you get a dedicated commercial guy. I still sell retail for some extra money (I'm 33 with a family and dangerous old project car hobby as well as trying to start a small farm operation). Still, a "BPN" dealership with guys who at least know where to look stuff up is helpful. We also generally have more liberty to work out the deal directly with our customers with less back and forth.
Always glad to help! PM me when you get closer or if you have any specific questions on pricing. I am here to help folks and as a fellow consumer of Ford products, and don't intend to specifically market myself, but don't mind if it earns a few more units sold.
First of all, enjoy the search, you have lots of options.
Second, for what it's worth, if I had been on this forum before I purchased my Transit Connect I think I would have made a point to buy through Frantz. He has been a great service on this forum, very forthright and knowledgeable. It's not just that he has helped me through problems, he has freely assisted a number of people without charge or BS. I don't know him, but I've developed respect for him through this forum.
