Okay guys need your help 05 6.0 just shy of 155m has a new ficm fuel pump alternator batteries and pcm all within last 45 days finally got it to run kinda not getting enough power to the fuel pump realys and fuses good I am getting a code for secondary fuel system low thinking I just need to run to wires to fix this I'm I correct and does anyone have a diagram for me to follow this truck does get ran very hard as I am a vol firefighter thanks for the help
Since you only have one fuel pump, the "secondary" reference doesn't apply.
P0231: (DTC is for no voltage on the fuel pump monitor circuit)
Possible causes: Open/short circuit (wiring), inertia switch, fuel pump, fuses, or fuel pump relay.
btw - this relay is not serviceable separately - it can be serviced only with a replacement of the Central Junction Box, CJB, under the steering column
Key on, are you getting 12v to the inertia switch.
The sensing wire, sliced between the inertia switch and the fuel pump is giving you code there is no voltage after the inertia switch. So if the switch is good and the fuses F2.40 and F2.22 are good .....
It started pouring down rain so can't confirm at the moment that I'm getting power to the inertia switch with key on soon as the rain let's up I'll try that next
