Thanks Jason for taking care of things while I was away.
Happy Monday evening Jason, Ken, Rick, John and all of WV. I had a wonderful weekend with my Wife, Daughter, Son-N-Law and Grandson at Carter Cave State Park Olive Hill Kentucky. For anyone who has not been there is has several cave with lighted tours, undeveloped cave with walking and crawling tours and some undeveloped self exploration caves. Growing up it was our go to location because of proximity, activities and staff. I spent enough time there and the staff knew me well enough to hand me key and friends and I would take off. Years later I had the opportunity to take my Daughter several time and show her some of the many thing I saw. Now it was time to introduce my Son-N-Law and Grandson to the park. It was an honor to thing my family thought so highly of me and my past experiences to have me do this. All thought the staff has changed there were some names still there from my past. Again I was honored that they and the younger staff was interested in hearing of my past experiences and stories. I can not express how wonderful and satisfying it was to spend time in the evenings just talking with family and almost no technology of any type in the way. Cell phone did work and we had WiFi but it was only used to convers with family at home and make sure all was well. One thing I did notice in those evening talks that the internet was valuable in providing pertinent information to the conversation. It was not used often.
So much for my ramblings and now let the month of September BS start!
Good Taco Tuesday all of WV, John, Shaun, Ken and Bud I spelunked so much in my younger day and later hooked up with a group and did cave surveying! Loved it and have many great memories and now some new memories.
Doing great after a wonderful weekend. I also had the pleasure of showing a large number of young people I still Had It and Do It! LOL
The rest of this week is filled with Honey Do's and other things she wants done.
Will have to go back next week to rest up LOL
