Jason glad nothing got fried by lightening. Las time we were hit it took out a Phone, computer and a light bulb. The about 3 years later we found the TV had been hit.
Me too! When I was a kid lightning struck a tree similar to this one and it took out all four well pumps in the houses nearby. Glad that didn't happen this time!
Hope everyone's having a great weekend! Forecast says its gonna be a soggy one... we'll see.
Good morning Shaun, Jason, Rick, John and all of WV. It was a soggy night and going to be a wet day here with a large storm front moving in.
John when I posted Heathers picture it did not post all of the text. I should have included "I know what you are talking about. I have been retired 7 1/2 years and but was to dumb to stop working. Went from 14 days a month to working what I am pretty sure is 8 days a week with a bunch of guys." and that is what I left!
Jason, When I was young and at home our house was hit indirectly 5 or more times that I can remember. Once I am sure was a direct strike. Welded the water heater contacts closed and we were making steam!
Good Morning Shaun, it is going well here waiting on more rain. Relaxing after a busy week of vacation. Watching the track of TS Florence and thinking we may see her in WV by the predictor models.
How is the weekend in Baltimore area?
Looks like that is the forecast for most of the region. Was to put hay in today but rain stopped the cutting and even if it was bailed, couldn't get it to the barn.
The rain certainly does make it harder to do stuff like that. I was able to get yard work done on Thursday before the heat got too bad. managed to finish that up in the evening once it started to cool down. And I beat the storms. Even managed a quick trip to the landfill as well to get rid of an old A/C unit some cardboard and branches I had cut down.
Rick, one would think (looking at the picture) that I was thinking with something other than my "brain" when I left her. Sat beside her for 12 hours a day 14 days a month.

Oh my! I bet you were making steam. Amazing how much power a lightning strike has.
We have been blessed here and all the rain has missed up to this point but tonight looks like we may see some. Ma nature and her fickle finger of fate!
