One of the best afternoons I've ever spent was one afternoon when we were testing out a thing called a "Rodenator". Check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CgztUzqaL3E
It’s really cool, but plays havoc on the drip irrigation system. .
Good to see that we are still around, I’ve been in areas with NO connectivity lately. And the pattern will probably continue through October.
on a side note, I see the Orthopedic Surgeon again this week about my right shoulder. I seem to have had a subconscious desire to bring symmetry back to my body, so damaged it to go with both knees and the left shoulder.

Reason: bad spelling
Happy taco Tuesday all.
Can't believe it is the last week of September already. Three more months and it will be Christmas.
The older I get, the faster time flies by.

Faugh! I got to work this morning and the wind had shifted blowing more smoke in from the Delta Fire. I'm getting tired of living with a mask on and an inhaler in easy reach.
Still waiting on the ortho and dealing with being one handed. So many projects are not happening because of this.
Well, I have had no water for the past 24 hours. There was a water line break in the unit next door yesterday, and they at first just shut off the hot water. Then about an hour or so later, all the water was turned off. They moved the person out of his unit into a vacant unit because they had to tear up the floor in the bathroom. The manager took pictures of the problem and contacted local plumbers for an estimate, only to find out from the landlord, he does not want to pay a plumber to fix it, he wants the maintenance men on payroll already to do it. It is currently 9:46am and nobody has resumed working on the problem. I have sent in a complaint to the City of Fresno (I think, their website is not very user friendly) and called my local section 8 office, but apparently this is the Friday they are off. They only work every other Friday. So I am sitting here venting since I have nowhere else to vent. I called the office number and was surprised when the manager answered, because the office hours are 2pm until 6pm Tuesday through Saturday. She tells me I am the only one affected by this in this building. The other four residents have water, and the resident who's apartment has the leak was moved to a different unit. However, there are no more vacant units, so I am stuck without water until someone gets of their bums and comes over to repair the leak.

Sorry about the bad air. I created a self-inflicted complication the other day. I slipped, fell, & twisted my ankle while trying to climb over a barb-wire fence. Granted it was on a steep slope, and slippery grass, but I should have been more careful. Had a real hard time hiking up and down the hill (about a 1/2 mile). When I got home, it was swollen like a balloon.
So we went into Kaiser yesterday, and they told me I broke my ankle (fibula), plus there are a couple of "fragments". They said that it might be OK if they just stabilize it and put it in a cast for 6 weeks, but the foot is unstable now, and surgery is recommended. We've scheduled surgery for Monday & they will put in a plate, remove the fragments, and put me in a walking cast. Kind of an oxymoron, as I won't be able to walk on it for 6 weeks. Sheesh. This sure puts a harsh on my mellow. To put icing on the cake, it's my right foot, and the surgeon says I should not drive. Heck, I think I can drive left footed. Right? Or is that Left? Maybe I mean correct.
When I had the first of two accidents involving my right knee, I learned to drive using a cane on the gas pedal and my left foot for the brake. Actually, the first accident I had car with a clutch, it was VERY interesting to say the least. When I rolled through a red light because I missed the brake pedal with the cane, I decided to buy a vehicle with an automatic. The Thunderbird's seat goes back far enough that I can use my right foot for the gas, and my left foot for the brake. I cannot use my right foot for the brake as the brake pedal sits closer to me then the gas pedal does and I cannot bend my knee enough to get the foot on it.
I am certainly going to consider it. Sitting around fro 6 weeks waiting for the chauffeur is not my idea of a good time. A fellow I used to work with is a paraplegic; lost the use of his legs in a motorcycle accident. His vehicle is equipped with hand controls, which seem to work quite well. Don't believe it would be cost-effective though.
Making breakfast wasn't too bad. I could lean on the counter to get around the kitchen. Taking the garbage out was a little more challenging. I had to negotiate the stairs while carrying the bag in one hand holding a crutch. Probably good for my character.
