it saddens me to share that my brothers truck caught on fire. The engine compartment is a total loss except for the engine itself. He has access to a parts truck which is his same truck except as an automatic. It looks like we will be making one truck out of two.
It was electrical. He had a power inverter mounted on the driver’s side fender. He was pretty fortunate. It was late in the evening and a neighbor saw it burning under his attached carport. It could have been much worse. It has a set of Jim’s injectors in it. I hope they are ok
Dam that just plain out sucks, i had a close insident with my OBS when I first got her, the electrical plug going to the vacuum diaphragm had exposed wires and i had a rag on top of it , and when I washed the engine it got wet and somehow the rag caught on fire, being soaked in oil and diesel didnt help either, caught it time even burned my finger trying to remove the plug.
for some reason i havent been able to locate a new pig tail connector, and i need one.

Sorry to hear about the fire and the loss of an OBS. I have one of those inverters in my old Toyota and I've always been kind of concerned about the wiring.
