I have several friends that are engineers. Electrical, Machinal, 2 are Aero Space and all of them will be standing jus looking and say something to the effect "We could change this and that and make that do this!" The they go off and find someone to do it LOL!

The "Machine Shop" had "bar peelers" we called them. The shortest could take a piece about 24" by 10 feet. We had several 24" by 40 feet. One table lathe had a table close to 20 feet sq. We had rod ovens that would take 50 foot pieces. The small machine shop was in the same building and had one or more of about every lathe I have ever seen. The other shop had several newer CNC units. One shop had 5-6 or so pieces of equipment and turned out test pieces. One shop was In R&D and turned out test and small special items. Another was dedicated to mill rolls about 20 feet long and up to 6 feet in Diameter.
