Well I have a '90 CC Dually with a '94 Factory IDIT, 4" body lift, 3" frame lift. Several yr ago I mt'ed an intercooler from I think a '99 Power Stroke, but never plumbed it up. With the lifts I have on this thing I have more room than usual to run the tubing to plumb.
My question is what size of tubing should I try to run? I need to measure the turbo outlet & snaleshell inlet for intake (approx 2") & the intercooler ID inlet/outlet (approx 3") I don't know what size of tubing I should use for best performance......2", 2 1/2", 2 3/4", 3" etc. I was going to look round & order some exhaust tubing & elbows & rubber silicone boots to run. I've kept the intercooler sealed up with rubber plumbing caps & clamps all these yrs so it should be clean.
Back in the day ATS also offered intercooler kits.I simply trusted their R&R about what worked best (after all,I don't have all their expensive equipment for development and testing so who would I be to contradict them? lol) since I used a cooler that pretty much equal to theirs in size as well.I used 2.25" piping as they did.

Yeah I'm thinking about using 2 1/4-2 1/2" tubing. Just got to get some tubing, silicone adapters, & T-clamps lined up etc. My intercooler I have mt'ed is from a '99 Powerstroke & has 3"+ in/outlets (need to measure). But with my 4" body lift that should help make it all happen easier.
Just hoping & thinking that these sizes should work. I'm not building & supping up a hotrod, just trying to get the most out of this old thing. LOL
