Well I did the update yesterday. Downloaded, un-zipped and then went for a short ride and plugged in the USB stick and it displayed Updating software. By the time I got to my destination, it said it was completed. So I removed the USB stick and turned the truck off, removed key, opened the driver door. Waited a couple of minutes and fired the motor up, check the Sync version and it showed Ver 3.0 build number 18025 (previously it was Ver 3.0 build number 17209). Took care of my business and went back home. Inserted the USB Stick into the PC and went to the Ford website, logged in and went to Sync Completion section and guess what ? Again it couldn't find the file its looking for. Check the USB stick and it doesn't have the completion file. This is the second time it never wrote the completion file. Later in the day I get an email from Ford asking me to complete my Sync update LOL !
I guess Ford will figure it out one way or another like it did before.
Good luck with uploading the completion file to Ford. I have been trying for weeks with no success as have many others on other F150 and Ford forums. As of a day or two ago the button on their webpage to send the upload is missing. Hope their vehicle software is better than their website software.

Don`t worry about uploading the completed file to the Owner.Ford website because it also can be hit of miss with the USB. As long as the info for your SYNC 3 system shows it has been update, you`re good to go. Just make sure you have Automatic Updates and WiFi turned on in your vehicle. The completed file will be sent to the website in a few days to a week.
