Cool another upfitter question (sorry)

Anyone with a 6.2 gasser have pics / comments please of confirming the wire harness is between the driver side front fender & liner? I found my harness in the cab (thanks fat fenders!) but, most comments and pics are from 6.7 folks.

Thanks

Yes. Should be there, especially if you found the other end. Would not be on one side an not the other. Have it on my 18 XLT 6.2

I have a 2017 6.2 and yes the harness is there.

They are at the top right of the fuse box in the picture.

That’s If you are referencing the blunt ends where you connect your wiring it’s between the fender and the fuse box.

now if you're looking for the the opposite end of the ones that are in the passenger footwell, they're over on the passenger side of the engine compartment.

I have a 2018 F350 diesel. I am working on a project to install an accessory inside the cabin that will be turned on and off with an upfitter switch. Thank goodness for this forum.

The “upfitter” wires on the drive’s side of the firewall are not connected to the pass through wires on the passenger side. The wires do not match color. The only matching colors are on the passenger side wires that run through the firewall. I have to run a wire from the left side to the right side to power the passenger side pas through wires.

You have to dig for the wires on the passenger side firewall (engine side). Those wires were taped to a harness and looked like they were for some other function. Thanks to another contributor to this forum I got a razor, cut off the tape and freed the blunt end wires. The other end of the wire (only four) were in the fuse box in the passenger side footwell. There are a dozen other blunt cut wires but they are NOT the pass through wires. There are good pictures on this forum showing both wire groups. Again the four pass through wires inside the fuse box were difficult to find, all taped together and annoyingly short in length.

This is may sound elementary but it’s not spelled out in the manual or anywhere else. If you were looking for matching wires in all three of these locations you would be out of luck.

Why does Ford make this a mystery and hunt?
