Larger fuel tank for the 6.2 trucks
I got to thinking, how many people would upgrade the fuel tank if it was available? Perhaps I've got long bed envy, but that 48 gallon tank range sure would be nice when towing.
Sure seems to me that a titan diesel tank would work, after all, the plastic tank it self shouldn't care if it is holding diesel or Gasoline, but the venting, fuel pump, etc is likely where the difference lies. Anyone know more or done more research on this? I know nobody offers a larger replacement tank and probably never will.

I would, and will, if it's possible.
My buddy just ordered a 2019 CCLB 6.2L. His will come with the factory 48 gal tank. (this is the only reason he ordered a truck; he wanted an F250 CCLB (with 4.30 gears) for the big tank; those are not common on lots).
My 2018 SCLB has the 36 gal tank. I bought off the lot.
I can assure you that when his gets delivered, I will be underneath both his and mine, taking notes and measurements.
First it has to be able to physically fit in the location to doable for reasonable effort. Then I will have to assess if there are other issues:
Are the connections same?
Are the hose locations and lengths the same or at least similar?
Are there vent location issues?
Are there fill hose issues?
Are there control module issues? (like do I have to reprogram the "capacity" in the computer so it knows when full is full and empty is empty?) This is my greatest concern; I don't have ForScan and I'm not good with computer programming, etc.
Unforeseen issues?
If I can make it work, I will go for it. But it has to be doable from a DIY garage perspective.

its funny I have a 62. long bed 48 gallon tank and the range is nice for long trips but around town I find myself not wanting it to get below half a tank. Most pumps in my area will not allow more that $100 per card swipe, and I hate standing there for 20 waiting for it fill up. for sure it is nice on trips, I was on a trip the other day and stopped and filled up on the way home and it showed 667 to empty after the fill up. Usually around town after a fill up it will show around 550 to empty.

I have a CCLB.
The 48 gallon tank extends a LONG way under the cab, and it tightly conforms to the available space.
There is no chance you can hang it under another cab configuration.

my truck has about 22" of free space ahead of the tank; that's a lot of empty real estate.
