I pray to God this Bronco is not a disappointment. I am keeping my Jeep alive long enough to buy another Bronco. Just replaced the transmission lines. Rust holes in the floor ect. I am sick of piecing this Jeep together. If Ford flops I will be in another Jeep ASAP! Please ford hurry up don't make me buy another Jeep!

And having some towing capabilities would be great![/QUOTE]
The Ranger, with the same engine/trans, just got a tow rating of 7500 lbs with the max trailer package, so the Bronco should have good bones for some good towing numbers. Beats all small pickups except for the Chevy/GM small pickups with the diesel which is 7700 lbs. GM gas version tops out at 7000 even.
If they keep the Everest wheelbase, solid large capacities would definitely be possible (expect less than the Ranger because the body is heavier). I think it's really unlikely they will built it with a short wheelbase like the 2-door Wrangler or early Broncos (and remember the Bronco II)--if there is a short version, it would probably tow less for stability reasons.

No sense getting our panties twisted on these fake pics. wait until ford releases the actual beast, then you can make up your mind.

How it compares to the Wrangler is the things that's going to make or break the Bronco in my opinion... Jeep has had that segment to itself for so long, I'm curious as to whether any manufacturer thinks they can challenge it.

Although that is correct, I dont know how your salesman would know anything being the dealers have no clue. Only reason I know is a know someone whose father works on the Bronco (and he doesnt tell his son anything) and a connection I have has seen a pic of it.

Yeah well my cousins uncles twice removed step half sisters salesmen told her daughters grandchild's mothers son it's just a rebadged Ford Flex so nah nah nuh boo boo
Like its been mentioned before FORD is being very tight lipped about it. I doubt salesman know anything about the new bronco. I'll wait till FORD actually says something on the matter or releases more pictures.

2/3 of Wranglers sold are 4 doors, so that is clearly where the market is, even on traditional Jeeps. I'm gonna stop guessing about 2 vs 4 doors and commend Ford for REALLY keeping the lid on any more info on the Bronco. The only news we've gotten is the possibility of a 7 speed stick and the 2.7 Ecoboost.
The Bronco will necessarily share the Ranger's front frame and architecture, so width will be the same as the Ranger, which I think is a few inches wider than the Jeep. It will also look bulkier because it won't have the winged outside fenders of the Jeep.
I'm thinking it's gonna be closer to a 4Runner or prior gen Explorer than a Jeep (or a '73 Bronco), but we shall see how retro Ford gets with the styling and what they do, if anything, with removable roof or roof panels.

Agreed. ANYTHING else is purely speculation
And as far as salesmen knowing anything about a preproduction item. LMAO. They dont even know about the vehicles on their lots
