so I snapped the multi switch off of my 11 Ford F-150. It looks like it’s been repaired before. Can anyone tell me what the multi switch connects to. I’m hoping it’s a part on the column that’s replaceable and not the whole steering column. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
Assuming you’re talking about the turn signsl/wiper arm, it’s a simple replacement of just the switch. The end of the switch inside the column is just basically a circuit board that screws in. Very simple to do. Replaced mine 4 or 5 years ago. Bunch of YouTube videos out there
Yes it is a very easy fix if it’s just the multi switch. My problem is more than just the multi-switch. What the multi-switch connect to inside the steering column is broken. I am just looking to find out the name of what the multi-switch gets attached to
I don’t know the answer. Can you get in close enough to msybe see a part number you could google?
When i replaced my mfs, i snapped off one of two screw parts that holds it on. I could still connect the circuit board though and could one screw back in. It’s worked fine since then; hasn’t come loose.
Is the circuit board connection broken or just the plastic screw points? If it’s the screw points, maybe put some glue in, let it dry, and drill a tiny hole in it for the screws.
