I'm having problems removing the fuel pump on a 2008 Escape. I got the locking ring off, but the fuel pump assembly will not come off/up from the fuel tank. I've watched several You Tube videos and all of them show the fuel pump assembly just coming up easily once the locking ring was removed. Someone please help me with this problem quickly.

Vacuum in the tank? Try releasing the fuel filler cap.

Other than that, no idea. Fingers crossed.
