2009 escape AC issue
So my wife called me the other day to tell me her air was cutting in and out, I checked when she got home and of course it was working. Finally the other night driving to town, it started acting crazy. blows super cold air, and then randomly will blow hot air for 5-25 seconds ( a couple times longer) then will go back to air conditioner. Ive checked and filled the Freon, replaced a couple relays, and even had my buddy who works for ford, hook it up to the computer, all nothing. He did a update from the factory and we did not have this issue for about two weeks, now its back. Just be cruising down the road and the cold air turns very hot, then back to cold. any ideas?

Try to work out what is happening relative to the outside ambient air, when you get the issue is the car adding heat to the air or is the cooling of the a/c just being stopped?
If heat is being added then it may be a fault with the blend door or climate control sensor(s), if the cooling effect of a/c is stopping then it is more likely to be a fault in the a/c circuit and compressor.
