Finishing up (hopefully) my '52 F3 project which is running a '95 5.8... I was naive/crazy/foolish/ignorant enough to use the (heavily stripped down) donor harness and the PCM (of course) and also wired up a handy CEL.
Happy to say engine will fire up, but my CEL is on. I found the "ground STI" trick and have counted the codes during KOEO and am pretty sure I'm getting:
33 1 33 (or possibly 33 133)
Any tips on what this could mean? The wiring has been the hardest part of this project, and I've still got some other gremlins to chase down (no turn signals), but would like to know what the PCM is trying to tell me. Of course there is a possibility that it isn't happy with something missing, since this was a smog/PS/AC-delete with an EGR-disable hack, but if it is something else I'd like to know. ;-)
hmmm... i'll double check connections, but EGR is still electrically connected, so the PCM should be fooled (or so i was led to believe).
is that code specifically "missing" EGR error?
thanks.
