Why does a few 65 trucks have a red stripe in the Chrome ?

The 64's had it so maybe there was a carry over in early 65?

Okay....... 64 and 65 are different size chrome.

Was your truck one of the 1st 65's made? It could have had the newer larger trim but they had the red stripe and then dropped it. Maybe someone painted it on.
