So twice today I got in my truck (2015 F250 ccsb 4x4 6.2l gas burner)started it up and after backing out of the parking spot and begening to pull foward the stability control light come on and the truck goes ding ding ding for maybe three seconds and then it goes off and doesn’t happen again untill the next time i get in and leave. This happened twice and hasnt happend agian in the last 4 startups. There was no tire slipage and speed was maybe 1-2 mph... any ideas why or what to look at???
My 2011 6.2l has done that maybe three or four times since I’ve owned it (original owner), all while driving slowly through a parking lot on a dry summer day. Last time it happened was maybe three years ago. Never got it checked out. Never had any issues. I wouldn’t worry about it.
Thats kinda what I’m thinking too, just let it ride untill it becomes a regular thing. I checked under the truck for any loose sensor connections but found nothing...
Well hell if it didn’t do it again today... I disconnected the battery for about and hour so I’ll see what that changes/resets tomorrow when I head to work.
If it happens again, turn the traction control off using the button on the dash just to see if it happens while off (just to rule it out)
i turn mine off regularly in the winter because it’s annoying in the snow.
well after taking the battery off all day it hasn’t happened yet but when/if it does it again I’ll try switching it off and see. Its a difficult one to figure out that is for sure.
