Ok folks I'm having an intermittent problem with my high beams. They seem to have a mind of their own. Didn't matter if my lights are on or not sometimes they turn on and won't turn off. It's like the courtesy flash is being held back. I recently cleaned the multifunction switch so I'm wondering if this is the problem? It doesn't do it all the time and some times turning the vehicle off and then back on fixes the problem.
rock auto has about the best prices i have seen anywhere on the internet.
i hope this makes sense
what i do is compare wire color placement between new and old plug. if the same, pull the wires up in the column as far as they will go. then i cut the wires off the MFS up in the column, unpin the wires off the plug of the new switch, and tape the unpinned ends to the old wires up top. then slowly feed the new wires into the column as i gently pull down on the old wires from the bottom. when the old wires are out and new are through, i then un-tape and use the old plug as reference to re-pin the wires into the new plug.
^^ i hope that made sense to you ^^
