NO MORE VENT WINDOW !, sign me up, seems like it would be easy for the right person with the magical ability of making anything possible ( that isnt me ) sure would like to see it though, and would much rather spend the money on that instead of all the parts involved with the factory stuff.
Well there are companies who specialize in bulletproofing cars and trucks for people. I say a 89 Bronco with 1 piece window and just for the whole schbang they wanted like a grand for each window. But they were bulletproof ie w/o bulletproofing it may be wayyyyyyy cheeper
Those stainless steel antennas can be used to enter a truck also thru the vent window. Careful attention to the interior of the door can make it Slim Jim proof with the addition of a few metal plates. You can make the side windows and rear window out of laminated safety glass like the windshield, much tougher to break.
I think the addition of a few metal lips around the vent window might make it a lot harder to penetrate also.
The side window glass is curved slightly.
The length of the window regulator slider and arm determine how much the window can be raised and lowered. This application would not require any more window travel so it would only be a matter of attaching the slider to the window in the proper location.
