Three buttons to install in the dash somewhere.
Third brake light with camera
Hey everyone, I have a 2015 F350 dually lariat FX4. I have a push button start with the harness from a 17 F250-F550 that I want to install. Anyone done that? Links, pictures, step by step.....anything would be great.
Also, I have a third break light from a 17 F250 with the camera and I want to take mine off and replace it with the one with the camera. I have a backup camera on mine already sooooo I also have the camera push button from the dash of the same 17 F250 that I waould like to use as a toggle I between the two camera systems. Anyone have an idea how to wire that up?

Get a copy of the Hanes manuals for the 2011-2016 MY trucks and the 2017+ trucks. They have schematics that would help (not sure on the latter years, not sure there is one out yet?). Or go to your dealer and get the associated schematics. There may be a couple that you would need. The lights may separate from the video feed.
As for the "toggle switch" idea - that is a neat idea, but you will have to see how the switch was originally wired. I don't have those schematics so I can't tell, but something tells me the switch likely goes in to a computer module of some kind as an input then the video feed is switched from the computer. That may complicate your install. Again, get the schematics and that will lead you in a direction.
Also note that the connectors may be different.
