So I got a Bluetooth adapter for 12.99 and bought torque pro for $4.95. Used my 4 year olds kindle fire and boom, I’m logging live data and see what my truck will do.
my truck is bone stock minus a AFE 6637 type filter and the resonator gone from the exhaust. I am at 153,000 miles. On test run to my 6 year olds soccer practice I got the numbers below.
max boost through the MAP at 16.6 psi
max HPOP pressure was around 2600 psi
duty cycle was around 35% I believe.
i think those are pretty good numbers for stock. I am pulling my 12,000 lb 5er to Mohican this weekend so we will see what she does with that.
Also using the app to monitor my engine temp. Coolant gauge crapped out so watching EOT. What is a scary number that I should watch out for with that? 230 degree max? It barely went over 200 on my test run.
overall for the amount invested I am very happy. Anyone know if you can change the MAP reading to start at 0 so you do not have to subtract 14.2 from your number to get boost?
Torque can’t see coolant temp. EOT is all it can see. For some reason my MAP does start at zero. With the truck sitting at idle it shows about -0.5. Maybe I am doing something wrong but it shows the same when I log my brothers truck as well. Enjoy the new toy, it is pretty fun. I am looking at adding gauge pro so I can do buzz tests too
Yeah I knew it wouldn’t read coolant temp since that is something the pcm doesn’t monitor. I changed my PID formula on the MAP to subtract 14.2 so we will see if that works.
