Cab Swap

I purchased this cab since mine was heavily rusted out. I'm a ways from the actual swap since I need to strip it down and paint the new one, but I'm not finding much info on the actual swap itself on here. Is it going to be as easy as disconnecting the host vehicle completely and pulling it's cab and dropping the donor cab into it? Or am I going to be need to remove the front clip to drop it?

Your life will be much easier if you pull the clip.

In short what he said
That is how I pulled my cab, pull the front clip first, so I could fix rust.

There is nothing holding the front clip to the truck in the rear except the cab. Not saying it could not be done, but would definitely be tricky to support the rear of the clip and slide the cab out from underneath. If your truck is that rusty, you probably need to check your radiator support anyway, they like to rust out also.

Thanks all, I wish I had started por-15ing everything when I had the axles out since I'm going to have access to the frame considering I am going to be taking cab off and bed off it might as well turn into a frame off resto lol.
