Do a search under PCV Valve in this forum and you will see many ideas on how to get the job done right.
Just blocking off the block hole where the Road Draft tube is removed may build pressure and push a nasty oil leak elsewhere.

My 63 f500 has a valve on the intake manifold with a tube running to what looks like a pcv valve on the valley cover, but the part that looks like a pvc valve is just an empty shell, the valve is on the manifold and appears to be a check valve, you can blow compressed air through with very little resistance, I think you can run any size pvc valve but you need to jet the carb richer to match the amount of air coming through the crankcase. perhaps someone can confirm this, but as long as your mixture is right it should work
