Leveling kit?

Does adding a leveling kit (2 - 2.5”) void the factory warranty? I’m looking to level out my new 2018 5.0 but dont want to do anything that’ll void the warranty. It’s been awhile since I got a brand new truck.

Also, which one do y’all recommend?

Yes. Completely. 100%. You'll never get any work done. Ever.

Possibly though on parts that are effected by suspension they could refuse repairs due to premature wear due to it.

No, it does not void the warranty.

Ford refused to fix my best friend's F-150 because the dealership determined that the component got worn out due to the leveling kit. It didn't matter how remote the possibility was.. if Ford thinks it just may wear out even just a little quicker, they will NOT cover it.

So, yes, it can happen.

I had my kit installed by my dealer before I picked up the truck, they said there will be no issues with warranty because they installed it.

Maybe see what your dealer says.

That is the tricky part.. the Ford dealership that lifted my best friend's 2009 F-150 became defunct. They were the ones who assured my friend that warranty would remain intact. He couldn't remember if they said he had to go back to them if problems happened. It was two or three years later when he took it to the other Ford dealership that claimed the component could have worn out due to the lift and wouldn't do warranty work on it. We couldn't see how the lift made it wear out but they were dead set on it.

I think it depends on thr dealer, some are more mod friendly than others and will turn a blind eye to the mod.

As for Ford, any change from the way the truck left the factory with a non authorized part will void the warranty for at least the area affected by the mod.

I've leveled the last three f150s we've had and haven't had any issues with warranty claims, but then I've never had any problems with the front end.

It all depends how you will go about Leveling Kit. If you go cheap way with Spacers then if something gets worn out they might say we wont fix it because your cheap leveling kit did the damage. If you go with Coilovers like Fox 2.0 CoilOvers first it wont damage anything because everything still will be at good angles, second your Leveling will be done the right way, third ride quality improvement. The differance is: Spacers around $100, true leveling CoilOvers around $1200
