squeaky noise in steering
Recentl I have developed a squeak in my steering. it is on a 1988 F-150 4x4 the sound is originating from around the front driverside wheel. whenever I turn the wheels it will make a loud squeaking noise like something is rubbing. it is not the power steering system because it does it with the engine not running. I have rebuilt my steering gears a few thousand miles ago and I have also replaced all my tierod ends. I got under the truck and greased all of the tie rods and ball joints(also fairly new). best I can see nothing is rubbing on anything. it is realy annoying, any ideas on what to try

I don't have a F150 but the best thing I can tell you is to get someone to turn the wheel with the engine off while you get under the truck and listen to see where it's coming from.
