I had an EGT sensor go bad and replaced under warranty at the dealer. It broke off and they ended up dropping the DPF to get the old sensor out. I now have a vibration when I am at idle and have figured out it is the exhaust backpressure sensor vibrating against the bottom of the cab. The dealer that did the work is 250 miles away and the local dealer won't warranty the other dealers labor.
If someone is board one day, would you please crawl under the truck and take a picture of this sensor. I'm wondering if the tech mounted it back the wrong way.
Not that I have a 6.7l but from what I see the sensor is on top, which way is your sensor clocked? Dropping the exhaust could lead to more possibilities or binding.
There is a metal bracket that bolts down and the EBP sensor attaches to it. Mine currently has the sensor and electric connector towards the top. Part of the metal bracket is what is vibrating against the bottom of the cab. There is maybe 1/8" clearance between it and the cab. I'm trying to avoid dropping the exhaust down, but it may come to that. Jut though I'd ask and see if anyone had some thoughts.
