I would love to ask the person what they were thinking when that system was designed. For the life of me I simply cannot understand how you can put a diminishing liquid in a vehicle without a fluid level gauge; especially a liquid that's going to disable your vehicle when it runs out, it's as bad as running out of fuel. I'm glad to see that Ford finally came to their senses and put a gauge in the 17 & 18's.

The crusted DEF will re-dissolve when wet. It does not stay a crystal when liquid is added or wet by DEF.

Thanks Larry. i didnt know that. Was afraid to get that crusty stuff in the tank and plug something up
