Crazy Problem
I came home tonight and stopped at the mailbox. I turned on the dome light on my side and go the mail. Turned it off and backed up the driveway. When I turned the truck off and opened the door the radio kept going and then the lights would not go out. I had no controls, it seemed everything was frozen. No hi lo beam switch, no 4 way, I could do nothing with the radio. Seemed like I had low beams. I messed for a while and finally disconnected the battery. That seemed to take care of all of the problems I was having but now the "check engine light" is on. Any ideas?

My 2016 F150 did just about this exact thing one time, except for the check engine light. Disconnected and reconnected the battery and it never did it again. I never even took it in to be checked out because I figured I would just get the deer in the headlights look from the service writer. I guess you’re lucky you have a check engine light, there should be a code to point them in the right direction to get it fixed.
