4 x4 not working

4 x4 not working
been a while since I’ve been around, but just started having trouble.so lights on the dash are coming on even goes into low, pump just runs about 30 sec,and in 4x4heats defaulting.does this sound like the actuator under the hood? Truck is a2006 f-250.thanks

I’m guessing you have a vacuum leak if the truck is defaulting to defrost. Mine was the plastic nipple where the hose goes from the frame to the hub had a crack in it, but there’s several other spots it could be in

Not is the leak is after the vacuum control solenoid.
Come over to this thread and read the diagnostics PDF I posted for Carlosfj80 It will also apply to
your truck is I read correctly that it's a 2006. If you have a vacuum pump and gauge that can help
in chasing down a leak. It's also handy to have some vacuum port plugs for sealing off sections.
