wiring harness recommendation

I used a Ron Francis Bare Bonz universal kit and really liked it. Well made, well packaged and organized, good instructions. All the wires are labeled for the entire length. Extra circuits for electric fuel pump and electric fan. Ron Francis also has a good selection of switches and other electrical stuff. Probably not the best if you are going for originality though.

I bought the one that Dennis Carpenter sells (although I bought it from another dealer who claimed it was his creation despite the fact the stuff was literally packaged in D.C. packages), and it was actually pretty fun installing because it was basically a perfect copy of the original with the perfect lengths on the wires, connectors, etc. It was basically an extra hundred bucks, but worth it IMO because I didn't have to cut, crimp, re-adjust etc.

I used the EZ Wiring 21 circuit harness for my truck. I was, am, very pleased with it. I had bought it off of Ebay (new) for quite a bit less than catalog prices. Good quality wiring, all wires color coded and labeled. Very easy to remove un-needed circuits without damaging connectors.

I also used the Ron Francis kit. The only thing that I found lacking was that I did not feel that there was enough circuit protection for the engine compartment. But fuses or circuit breakers can easily be added for that area afterward. Otherwise the kit is relatively easy to install with every wire labeled along its entire length and good instruction with plenty of pictures and diagrams for each area. The wires are cut to the proper length with some extra for any mods you need to make.
