I used bed armor spray cans on my Chevy SSR...those boards were junk... Cleaned and redyed black rubber treds... Scuffed and sprayed... Worked great and was tough
I just had the dealer take the boards off once the truck showed up and take them to get line x before I picked it up. The grill and bumpers I had wrapped in black, the mirrors were like that from the factory. Not sure what type of line x was used but it still looks new and it is not as ruff as the bedliner.

I like the look of your running boards. I just posted a thread about my driver side board having some bubbling and peeling issues. Maybe once the dealer gets that taken care of, I'll have my boards sprayed as well. If you don't mind saying, what'd they charge you it?

I had it done on my last 2 super duties and I will always continue to. It last forever and looks a lot better than the chrome.
Looks perfect! I've called every local dealer in my own and 3 surrounding states and no one will touch them. Every time I tow the RV to a new area I call and no success out of town either. My chrome is failing and I've already had one replaced under warranty. I'd love this done for that reason plus they look so much better...
My 7.3 I had before I had the running boards rhino lined. The shop did them for a fair price. They scuffed them up and had them done within few hours. Held up good and was definitely worth it. Plus it just makes the truck look a lot better. Anything looks better black on a truck.
