Linex dealer I talked to says they take them off and send them out to a local guy for sandblasting and then they do the linex with the premium linex. They wont do them unless its been sandblasted, Quoted 250 for the linex and another 100 for the sandblasting.
Still trying to decide on doing this or going with the powerboards.

Good question. I'd like to know, too. Given the chrome peeling I'm already seeing on one board, with under 10K miles, I'm seriously considering having this done. Concerned about the looks longterm, since my rig has the chrome package...

they do fade a little bit, but not much that you really notice.
Linex makes a UV resistant clear coat that you can have sprayed over the liner material if fading is a concern. My truck is two tone and ideally, I'd get them sprayed Magnetic to match my lower color.... if I could ever find someone to spray for me...
