They sit 2.5" from the top of the step to the bottom of the body and 7" from the bottom of the mounting bracket to the bottom of the body. Here are some more pictures from different angles. One day I will learn how to take a good picture.

I measured a little over 4 inches from frame to the top of the step. Which makes for about a 6 inch step up.

The bottom of the step is not below the skid plates

N-Fab Steps. I've had these on my last 3 trucks, never had an issue with them. The grip is good, the step is perfectly placed, they are tucked up and out of the way but still provide some rock protection offroad. I think I paid $350 for them on a Black Friday deal.

Thank you for the detail. It really helps with making my decision.

I am super torn between these and the HD Podiums. I think my wife will appreciate a little more step surface. Looks great Tricon!

I love these running boards. Much better than the ones that came from the factory. I purchased these from runningboardswarehouse.com. They are the Havoc HS3 Polished Stainless Steel Hoop Steps.

They do not hang below the frame rail. Therefore, they do not limit the clearance of the truck, much like rock sliders wouldn't on a Jeep or whatnot. These aren't the steps you want if you're in the "I have bad knees and this truck is too tall" category. They are the "I need to a platform to work out of" category. They don't provide a ton of step-up, but the provide a ton of step-around/in. Does that make sense?

How do they compare to the height of factory running boards? They look like they sit higher, is that true?

Makes perfect sense. Thanks for a "real-world" description.

The tube part of the bars do sit up closer to the body of the truck but the steps are about the same height as the factory boards. It is a much cleaner look to me because you don't have all the open space between the boards and the body that you have with the factory boards.

That’s exactly why I like them. I was just worried they would sit higher and still be quite a big step up. For me, at 29, that’s not too big an issue, but older family members could find a problem.

I have never, ever been a fan of steps on a truck...but I really like the looks of those. My parents rode in my truck for the first time yesterday, and they couldn't get in it. So being the good son that I am, I'm entertaining the idea of putting a set on my truck.
How much do those steps flex when using them? I'm close to 300#, and at 6'5" tall, you can understand why I've never needed steps on my truck

Ive just ordered my F-250 2019 and left the running boards off so I can just choose my own aftermarket. Does anyone know if my new truck will be built / shipped without he stud bolts? Currently considering the Westin Thrashers. Opinions / anyone have them ?
