Let’s See Those Running Boards
I am waiting on my new 2019 F350 CCSB and looking around for the boards I want to put on it. I like the idea of wheel-to-wheel boards, but can’t find any I like. I want black boards, but the ones I like don’t come in black and that length. It’s also difficult to find good pictures of them on these trucks. I’d like to see some real world pictures of what you guys have, that actually show what they look like on a truck, not just a super close up stock photo.

We bought an 18 Lariat F250 recently. It's all loaded up and since we were looking for specific options, the dealer had a hard time locating us a truck. The one we bought has the chrome package and I personally could have done without it. But on race red I can make it work. The other features were all there we wanted.
Anyway- it has the extended boards. Wife liked the functionality. But once we leveled it- I can't stand the look myself. From the side it's not awful. But standing at the door looking rearward, they really make the factory wheel offset look exaggerated. Plus- the main part is chrome and the extension is black. If a person used them frequently, I'd say they'd be great. But I will probably change them later. Probably AMP.

I definetly like those better without the chrome, but I would rather not have to wrap the whole thing. I still don’t get why ford can’t figure out that not everybody likes chrome. Offer the same thing in black, or magnetic, like they have done for years on the F150s.

That is not too bad then, but I’d still rather find some black ones I like. If ford made them in black, I would have stopped looking. I may just give up on the W2W idea and just get some cab length ones. That would open up the options quite a bit.

Luverne Grip Steps. They have wheel to wheel for all cab/bed configs. Had them for about a year and a half now, absolutely love them. They are awesome if you routinely need to clear your boots or shoes, and they are super grippy even when wet. Very sturdy, and no problems at all so far with finish deterioration.
Since I have the CCLB and the break over angle off road is...low... they've had to function as rocker guards a few times and have plowed some decent gravel, rocks, and dirt. No bending or deflection of any kind, really couldn't be happier. Plus they are wide and are much easier to get work boots on than a round bar. If you do a lot of loading/unloading from the cab (kids, stuff you haul in the back seat, etc.) or get in the tool box a lot, these are a must have.
Only bad part is you will almost certainly have to order them, but they are totally worth it. Let me know if you want to know anything else, happy to share. These are the one thing so far I am most pleased with getting instead of just getting the factory ones.

I really like the Aries AdvantEdge boards in black, but of course they don’t make the W2W length.
I also really like the Luvern O-Mega 2 boards. They make crew cab length, and W2W length for an 8’ bed, but not the 6.xx’ bed. They do in chrome but not black. Their response when asked about it was, “you can buy the longer ones, take the end caps off, cut off 8 inches, then redrill and install the end caps.” Sorry, but I’m not buying a quality running board just to trust my cutting skills to cut it perfectly and have a clean cut.
