Vin tag decoding please
Can someone please decode my vin plate please 🙃
can someone please explain some of my vin plate. Thank you!
color- RE RED (I’m pretty sure it’s original red/white two tone so the “RE RED” confuses me)
rear axel- 3.89 (8”or 9”)?
and I’m assuming the vin plates changed style sometime in 1957?
And whatever the production code means

R = San Jose CA Assembly Plant.
24966 = 1957 Numerical Sequence of Assembly, the trucks specific serial number.
