I have 2 solenoids for the 68 camper special. Only ONE battery. A lot of crap hooked to both still. Hot wire is running to battery side of one, and starter side of other. Starter is going from starter side of one. Should I get rid of one? Why is there so much hooked up to 2nd one? What is required?
Sounds like it used to have 2 batteries, part of the camper special package I beleive.
You really only need one realy if you are using one battery.
Starter power wire to one side of relay, battery positive and all the fusible links/power feed wires to the other side, red/blue striped wire to "S" terminal and the brown wire to the "I" terminal.
