I have a 1981 f350 with 4.9 motor and am looking for a clutch arm pivet seat .. this is a metal part that bolts to bell housing and pivets the throwout arm ford part number 7c508 any ideas ? this part was worn years ago when i replaced the clutch and i built it up with jb weld and a thick washer but now time to replace and want a new part and cant find it . Please help . Thank you .
You just need a plain threaded unit with threads on one end and a ball type shape on the other end correct? You may find something that would work from one of the classic car and truck sites if you can figure out the thread size and pitch on the threaded end.
Does anything in this thread link look like the part you need? We went through this before, the number you posted in your first post looks like a ball stud screwed into the engine block in the picture above. But you also have the square pivot shown in the thread link that the clutch fork pivots on. I am confused, which is not unusual. Check this link out.

At first I thought he was talking of the clutch linkage cross shaft (7528) pivot (7A535) that bolts to the block but he was saying he needs part "7C508" and I don't see it in the above picture?
But I think I know what he is talking about now.
He needs the throw out bearing fork pivot (part 7C508?) inside the bell housing.
I forget what it looks like as it has been over a year since I had mine apart.
Grass Valley, any way to post up a picture of what you have left / looking for might help. So we know just what you need and if one cant be found how you might be able to fix it.

Thank you it is part number 7c508 my question since this part is not available is their a way to convert to a different pivot and arm ? I triad the ford place in van nuys and it’s the b part and I need the A part ? Since I’m replacing the arm and ball their must be a different pivot that can be used ? At least I would think ?? The seat is so worn perhaps have it built up by welder ? Hoping for simple swap . Thank you
Did a google search on "ford 7c508" and it looks like everyone has just run out of this part. You had better get the welder out. If you go to a welding shop that does a lot of business, you may find one that has some special hard welding rods laying around they could build it up with. Some shops weld up teeth on wood grinders and chippers, and teeth on back hoes and stuff like that, and they have a special hard welding rod that has good wear properties. That would be something nice to have on that part if they try to fix it by welding it up.

He mentioned this part is made out of aluminum in another thread, so that throws the hard welding rod idea out the window.
