Engine Work: SDS or ????

Is Super Duty Service still the place to go for preventative engine work (EGR delete, Studs, ring'd heads)?

I'm in the south central part of the country (North West Arkansas). We are going to be purchasing a trailer soon. I'm not having any issues but I don't want to get into an 'emergency' situation if I can prevent it.
I"m more interested in the job being done correctly than cheap.

There are those that say: If it ain't broke, don't fix it, and then there are those that don't want to be fixing things in the middle of a trip, on the side of the road, etc., that maybe they could have headed off in advance. Count me in the second group: maybe partly because I rode dirt bikes and raced cars for years, and many, many times we just tore it down to check and freshen things (it is no fun to DNF because it broke during the race) - and I also hate having my trips wrecked. How far you take the preventative work is up to you.

I don't personally know Anthony, but like a bunch of others that have been on FTE for awhile, we sort of "grew up" with him from when he was hot shotting with Julie, through starting up his shop(s). He has shared a lot of knowledge here, appears very open and honest (what shops have live cams in them?), and most importantly has a critical nature as to how things get done. So much so that he has developed some of his own parts and methods and brought pretty much everything in-house, so he has total control over what goes out the door. I really like that...

I would without hesitation use him, if only he were closer...

Good luck in your decision and on the trailer shopping!

Scott

Scott-
Thank you for your input. You can firmly put me in the second group as well. I'd rather fix it on my time and not in an 'emergency' situation.

I actually just got of the phone with Julie. she was more than gracious with her time and answering my questions some of which were off topic. I have no qualms about sending my truck to them for work. I'm just doing my due diligence in identifying potential shops for work if/when it needs to be done.

If you can get in to see him. Then I would do it.
