Hello!!! Please forgive me for the long rant. I have a 2005 F250 SD 5.4 4x4. 139,341 miles. The previous owner installed a brand new transmission and put just 1,300 miles on it. He heard a loud pop and lost power in the engine. He parked it and it sat for 3 years. The truck looks brand new inside and out. Spotless!!! The previous owner told me that the truck had a broken plug in the cylinder. I’ve purchased 8 new plugs, 8 new coils, 2 VVT’s, 2 new camshaft sensors, new fuel filter, 7qts of oil and oil filter. ($900). The truck had no power and smoked bad. After removing the plugs, all came out just fine. None of the plugs were broken. Installed the new plugs and coils. Still ran rough. I pulled the plugs and did a compression test and #1 cylinder was dead. I then ran my camera scope to have a look. Burnt hole in the piston. I’ve just installed a brand new motor yesterday. Now I have the TOW/HAUL light flashing on my dashboard. When I turn the truck off and then back on the tow/haul light goes off. After driving for maybe 5 minutes it come back on flashing. Hooked my scanner up and pulled codes P2700, P2701, P0751, P0756. The 751, and 756 codes are shift solenoid stuck off A&B. Could the truck sitting for that time cause the solenoids to stick? I’ve called the transmission shop that installed the transmission to see about the warranty and the warranty time is up. 3 years for only 1,300 miles. So I’ve spent $4,500 for the truck, $900 on parts. Then $4,300 for new long block engine. $25 for new thermostat and $75 for new water pump, $30 for serpentine belt. I fell like I’ve put too much money in the truck to get rid of it now. Please help!!!!
It could just be a bad sensor or a bad connection on the wiring harness for the tranny.
No, it could not. A bad sensor or a wiring harness problem would not set these codes, but would set other codes. The ONLY way these codes can set is if the solenoids stick.
Changing the fluid might clear a stuck solenoid. Use MERCON SP fluid. If it works it won't be an immediate fix, it will take some driving.

If its a 99% rust free truck you are still doing OK.
As mark suggest drop the fluid. Do it a few times. Get it good and hot on the highway. I don't remember if the 5R110W has a drain plug but I think it does.
Mark, would you advise the OP to also try the "battery disconnect TCM relearn" thing on his 5R110W? Only reason I'm thinking about this is things have been disturbed with the engine swap. Might be good to start with a reboot....Just a thought?

So, just unhook the battery, or is it more to it than just unhooking the battery?
2005 F250 5.4 4x4 automatic transmission. Tow/haul light flashing. Codes P2700, P2701, P0751, P0756, I’ve drained the transmission fluid and removed the transmission pan. I noticed that my valve body has 1 pressure switch. It doesn’t have a wire connector hooked up to it. I was wanting to know if I purchase a valve body with 5 pressure switches with the correct wiring harness, if that would work? The transmission only has 1,300 miles on it. It was rebuilt in 2015 and the warranty is up on it. It was a Coleman Taylor transmission.

You don't need to connect the pressure switches. There is no software to read them. The decision to eliminate them was made too late to remove them from early production, but the software that looked at the pressure switches was deleted.
The codes indicate that solenoids A and B are sticking. New fluid sometimes will clear this up, sometimes it takes new fluid and new solenoids.
