I have a 2017 CC with a factory backup camera but no warning beeper...is that something I can have installed by Ford or aftermarket ? I'm and old guy and need all the help I can get.backing up...input appreciated
Depending on your trim....you can order a reverse light bulb with an integral beeper. Alternatively, you can get just a backup beeper and wire it in.
Ford offers it as a factory option on the Super Duty, maybe they can integrate it into your F150. I would just call my favorite dealership and ask if they will do it.
If they won't, then I'd call an aftermarket installer....unless you prefer to do it yourself.
I think the OP is asking about proximity sendors, not the backup alarm option on the Super Duties.
Ford offers both as accessories, but the alarm most likely not for the F159.
You may have to go into the settings and turn the audible alert on.
That being said, my '17 was not loud enough at first,
On the '13 you could turn the volume up by using the steering wheel volume as the alarm was going off.
On my '17, I have not found how to adjust the volume... but I have grown accustom to it... it kills the radio sound all together.

Go by or call up a car stereo shop.
Aftermarket back up and if you`re interested, front sensors are available and can be installed on your truck,
In my 2018 you turn the volume button while the tone is beeping to make it go up down. Try turning the volume button up while in reverse. Maybe near your trash cans to trigger the alarm?
It might be something just off to the side and not directly behind. I've this option on my last 2 F150's ans couldn't live without it now. When the beep goes solid I can move back 6" and still be safe...
Thanks for all input...my trim is XL.....will try all suggestions...looks like ford offers after market if my truck does not have it....great help thanks...
