Paid deposit for 2019 SD STX & ordered April 2 (the incentives expiring April 2 were $1000 off STX, $1000 customer cash)
My truck will be delivered around mid August. Just checked the new incentives starting today, July 10.They are pathetic, and zero customer cash, zero for STX incentives. The dealer specifically said “almost always” the incentives are better when you take delivery.
So, in your opinion, aren’t they suppose to honor whichever is better, incentives the day you ordered or the day you took delivery?
Am I getting mowed over here? If I’m getting mowed over to the sum of $2000, I won’t accept the truck.
The dealership can lock incentives at times order which hopefully they did. If they change at time of delivery my last dealership I ordered with went with which ever incentive was better. This was in SD a smaller family owned dealership that cared about repeat customers, but essentially the incentives could have been locked in at order.
I received PCO after April 2, and before July 9. Even went to dealer yesterday, said they called and my 3000 PCO not applicable because I received it after order date and can’t use it in August bc of expiry. Thinking I’m gonna be in the hole to the tune of 5,000. That’s why I’m considering canceling order

You can’t say you are in the hole $3k from not getting the PCO, you didn’t have it at the time of the deal. If you were ok with the price when you ordered it, coming back and saying you will cancel unless they take the extra off. It would have been a bonus to get the PCO off, and they should have been able to use it, but the deal is still the one you were happy enough to order. For the other incentives, they should have locked them in. My dealer locked them in but will give me the ones at delivery time if better.
I’m referring to the incentives at time of order vs time of delivery. Not holding them to the PCO. I get it.
It is all about whether they locked them in on the day the order is placed. There is a process the dealer needs to do to lock them in with Ford. They can easily tell you whether they did or not.
so they are just going to lose $3,000? Wow, what a bad business practice.
I guess time will tell - September 16th is what is projected now. I'm not sure how much experience the dealer has with the PCO stuff- 3k isn't going to make or break me either way...
