Start looking over the truck a little more, I notice the rear passenger door isn't flush with the cab, is that normal ? This is a 2018 F150 Supercrew long-bed.
This looks like it maybe a common problem. My 2018 has the same issue (Mostly the rear passenger side). I took it in to the dealer, they agreed that it needed re-alignment. They did caution me on having it fixed which may result in leaks (that's why I said it maybe a common issue). They re-aligned it, they did check for leaks, its ok but it still isn't flush as front doors are. I'm trying to ignore it now along with the Dash board !
Toke it in this morning, scheduled to go back on Thursday to be "adjusted" I was also told it may cause the door to leak after wards. If it does i'll have to see what my options are after that, we pay good money for these trucks we shouldn't be expected to just "deal with it".
Left rear and right front corners are proud on our Supercrew. I roamed around the dealer's lot back in 2015, and I would estimate that more than half of the supercrews had this issue. Some more than others.
My wife's 8 year old Tacoma is perfect, or as close to perfect as you can tell without a micrometer. Our previous Tacomas and Tundras were also perfect.
Ford's fit and finish could use some work. Had to take the wife's Edge back for door alignment. Passenger side was way off. Haven't really noticed anything with my scab.
I’d noticed the bad alignment on the tailgate, but not the doors. I just looked and my right side rear door is like that. Running my finger from the bottom to the top on the seam you can really feel the difference. Sometimes the door is wider, other times the cab sticks out. Strange. Aluminum might have more sprig-back after forming, but Ford should have figured it out my now.
Looks like one part was spec’d in Metric and the other in Imperial units.
I think the "indent" that runs across the top of all 4 doors is by design. Probably some aerodynamic thing. I've seen it on all the supercrews that I've looked at.
