I'm having some issues so I decided to try out the data logging feature on my SCT X4. Does anyone know what PIDs I should be recording and/or a pro that deals with tuning 6.0s that can see the problems I'm probably overlooking?
Sorry...wrote the initial post in haste/frustration.
So the thing is...I'm not getting any codes. I'm having a loss of power condition intermittently. Almost feels like a no fuel/gelling response. I'll drive the ex for a while and it's fine. Park it. Do my business. Go to drive again and within a mile it starts...only allowing very low speed operation almost to stall. If I park it for a while and restart it's fine.
I used a fuel pressure gauge mounted to one of those fancy caps with the port for a while and, of course, couldn't have the issue replicate while gauged. I was getting normal fuel pressure all the while driving was normal.
I'm thinking it's fuel pump related but I wanted to see if it was something I could read on my own, like fuel demand vs fuel actual or something like that. I have a SG2 to find the codes and I figured I could use the LiveLink software I downloaded ages ago for the x4.
Are the fuel pumps a known failure point? I know I have 230k on it and all and since at least 154k (when I bought it) it hasn't been replaced....and the whole HFCM appears to be factory.
I know it isn't perfect but it's worked well for me in the past. I have a friend who picked up AE for his 7.3. I'm going to try to hook up with over the weekend and see if I find anything different.
