What year?
When I bought my Crown Vic PI IFS, I was told it came out of a 2002. I’m going to rebuild it before I permenantly install it. It definitely needs upper ball joints. Here’s my problem....it appears that the upper ball joints are not removable from the upper control arm, yet I’m seeing upper ball joints for a 2002 on line (RockAuto).
My my question is, how can I determine the year of this IFS?

2002 model year and earlier CV/Marqius, etc were an all steel chassis, with the front crossmember welded into the chassis.
Starting in 2003 model year, the front crossmember was made of aluminum, and is bolted to the chassis.
