Bedside step

A friend has 2016 F150 with a bedstep right behind the rear driver side door slides out with a hydrolic shock.
The shock has the FoMoCo letters on it.
Can anyone give me any information on it?

What information do you want? They are available for 5.5 and 6.5 beds. Each step is right around 340.00. They are cheaper when ordered as a factory option.

The info you replied was exactly what I was looking for. Factory part and price. Thank you.

The steps came on my 2019. I was set to take them off and sell them. After 6 weeks, they are still on, and I doubt I'll sell them. They can be handy... especially when washing the truck. My bed is covered, so they are useless there. The bed extender did come off. THAT is useless.

It`s a side step that`s offered for both sides of the truck. They can be ordered with the truck from the factory or you can purchase them from the Ford Accessories website. I`m not sure who actually makes them for Ford but AMP Research also has them for the F150. Easy and complete bolt on.

Have a great day.

I actually like the Amp side-steps better (look and simplicity) and they are cheaper. Unfortunately they only show them available for the 5.5 and I just bought a 6.5 bed.

We got those on our 2015. They are the greatest things since sliced bread. I'm above average height (6' 2"), but reaching over the box sides to put something in, or take something out is too much of a reach for me; impossible for shorter people. These steps are just great.
