After much deliberation I had chosen the Truck Cover USA American Roll Cover. Just got it installed today. Took me about two hours. I am mechanically inclined, just a bit **** in making sure it was done perfectly. Initial impressions are that it is built STOUT!
I new I wanted a retractable cover that had rail system capabilities to install my bike racks above, I also knew I wanted KEYLESS access. That narrowed it down pretty fast. First day with it on and I’m happy. We’ll see after the first rainstorm how that opinion changes. Coming from a bakflip F1 on my old truck and for how much more this one cost I hope it’s worth it.
I had one on my previous truck with the Yakima system to carry my bikes. The only thing I did not like was having to drill holes in my truck bed for the drain tubes.
Are the stake pockets still clear - looks like it ?
That's my one requirement, been analyzing the options and liking this a LOT. Thanks!
Unfortunately the stake pockets are partially covered. Im not too concerned about this cause my last truck I had them exposed and never really used them. With the box link cleats and the other 4 corner tie downs I am good with it.
Seriously though, I have a tool box that is below the bed rails, I'm guessing this type of cover and a tool box would interfere with each other, correct?
Are you sure your truck is rated for that load?

I bought a truck that some will say is overkill for my uses. I call it flexibility.
Probably. The canister sits about 8” below the top of the bed rails. It projects about 8” out from the headache board.
if you are ok with shifting the toolbox so it sits in front of the canister than it could work, but unless you have an 8’ bed most wouldn’t want to give up that valuable space.
I do have an 8 foot bed, but am still reluctant to give up that much space, at least as long as I have a tool box. I'll have to ponder on this one.
Thanks for the information!
